The NIT Calicut Faculty Recruitment 2017- Walk-in Interview of 12 Ad hoc Posts: Institute proposes to prepare a panel of qualified and experienced persons for engaging them on purely ad-hoc basis in 
Department of Physical Education. This engagement will be purely on temporary basis and will carry a consolidated pay as detailed 

1.   Name of Post - Ad-hoc

Essential Minimum Qualification & Experience 
i) First class Bachelor’s Degree in Physical 
Education / Sports Science or equivalent 
grade in a point scale wherever grading 

system is followed) with a consistently 
good academic record;
Record of having represented the 
University/College at the inter-
University/Inter-Collegiate competitions or 
State and/or National championships;
Qualifying in the National-level test 
conducted for the purpose by the UGC or 
any other agency approved by the UGC 
and passed the Physical fitness test 
conducted in accordance with these 

  • Consolidated monthly salary- Rs. 17,500/- 
  • Age Limit Date & Time -  30 yrs as on 01-10-2017
  • Date of Interview - 24-10-2017

 2. Ad-hoc Coaches

i) B P Ed /NIS Diploma in physical 
education/Coaching from recognized 
bodies such as NIS/National-State 
ii) Sports proficiency in the form of 
representation at International 
approved competitions. 
iii) Minimum 1 year of experience in 
coaching at reputed University 
iv) Desirable: Communication Proficiency 
in English/ Hindi

Information For Walk in Interview

Candidates with the specified qualifications can report for the Walk in interview at their own expenses in the Department of 
Physical Education as per the schedule given below along with all certificates and testimonials in original and a set of photocopy. 
Degree/Merits certificates from Govt./Govt. recognized Universities/Institutions will only be accepted. No TA/DA will be paid. Due 
consideration will be given to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India reservation rules. SC/ST candidates should bring the valid caste 
certificate from the competent authority. OBC candidates should bring non-creamy layer certificate issued by an officer not below the rank of 
Tahsildar as per GOI rules
Candidates should report in the Department for certificate verification half an hour before the time of interview. Candidates reporting after 9.30
A.M. on the day of interview will not be considered. Candidates without original certificate showing experience, mark list and certificate in 
respect of qualification and age will not be allowed to attend the interview. The candidates should bring along with them the completed 
registration form provided in the website.
